PALTO gets its name from the French paletot, a term describing a kind of coat, buttoned at the front and worn over other garments. Geralda found inspiration in the memories of her grandparents' winter coats when she decided to open a "bruin café" just a few meters away from the Atomium in Brussels.
PALTO has since become a gathering spot, inviting people from all walks of life to enjoy coffee on church-wooden seats. But PALTO isn't just about food and drinks.
Since its inception, PALTO has featured an exciting monthly agenda filled with activities for music enthusiasts, art lovers, bike riders, and adventurous kids. To efficiently communicate these events, we devised a set of pictograms designed to be timeless, versatile, and suitable for various media.
Guided by PALTO’s distinctive mood, a not-so-muted color palette rich in textures and whimsical edges fits seamlessly, blending a touch of nostalgia with cheerful vibes. If you find yourself in the area, say hi to Geralda from my side!
